DO NOT take new food or medicines to enhance healing 3. Avoid tobacco products, alcohol, and aspirin for 2 weeks before surgery. 4. Fill your prescription before surgery. 5. Wash your hair, face, and body with antimicrobial soap (HIBICLENS ) the night before and the morning of surgery. 6. Thoroughly read any pre-operative information given to you by Dr. Norris and his staff, particularly as it pertains to medications and herbal supplements to be avoided prior to surgery. Post-Operative 1. Follow the post-operative instructions given to you by Dr. Norris and his staff. 2. Rest, even if you feel you can be more active. 3. Drink plenty of fluids. 4. Resume activity slowly, your tissues need about 6 weeks to heal and strengthen. 5. Take your pain medication as directed especially for the first 2-3 days to stay ahead of discomfort. 6.
