The SAR Years of Service Pins came in for those members that have been a member for 5 years or more. Our Guest Speaker for the Month of September is Steven Yermish, ESQ. He is an Assistant Public Defender in Dade County, a Scout Master and Cub Master. Nominations for new Chapter Officers for 2018 will occur in October with elections at our November meeting. Anyone interested in serving our chapter as an officer, please contact me or Joe Motes. I would like to bring up and discuss at our next meeting about changing our chapter meeting dates to once a quarter or every other month such as January, March, May, September, and November, also still not having meetings in the summer (June, July, August) and December. I feel this would be ideal for our members and attendance would increase at our meetings The 2017 Southeast Regional Workshop Meeting of the Florida Society, Sons of the American Revolution (FLSSAR) will be held: Saturday, 23 September 2017 Pompano Beach Power Squadron 3701 NE 18th Terrace Pompano Beach, Florida 33064 Please RSVP with the number of persons attending to Popham@earthlink.net or by text message to cell at 305-904-4400.
