Commander s Corner The Thomas Times Page 3 First, I would like to thank everyone for all the help and work that was done in the last two months. The military Veterans Poker Run, Patriots Day and POW/MIA day were all big successes. As usual the whole Post Family worked as a team on Patriots Day as we delivered and fed numerous first responders for free. By the time you read this the Auxiliary will have held the kids and adults Halloween parties. I am sure they will be a huge hit as always. The holiday season is fast approaching, and I hope that everyone will join us at the post for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners or just stop by to say Hi if you don t have time to eat. Everyone have a safe and enjoyable holidays. The Thomas Times Diane Tomlin Wood President, Unit 117 Unit 117 American Legion Auxiliary The holiday season is upon us. We have had our casino mystery dinner party for our Department President Michelle DeGennaro and her program Final Salute and what a success it was! I thank all the volunteers for their participation for a great event, what a team effort! Special thanks to Linda Shipley and MaryAnn Spellman. The busy season begins as we head into Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. There are holidays baskets to be made and holiday parties to be planned. We will be raffling an electronic basket for the children s Christmas party. A great holiday gift or a gift to keep for yourself. The Auxiliary is made of all volunteers to support our veterans and their families. Give a few hours of your time a month and make a difference. We have a fantastic family that supports one another so during the holidays we give thanks to all you for supporting the family of the American Legion. As Madam President Michelle DeGennaro would say We are All In. For God and Country Diane Wood Page 4 Squadron 117, Sons of the American Legion Randy Chilcott Commander Squadron 117 I would like to thank all of you that help out with the First Responders lunch.
