Welcome to the Sacramento State Aquatic Center Rowing Membership! Information about the Aquatic Center: The Aquatic Center is a cooperative operation of Associated Students Incorporated of California State University, Sacramento, the University Union of Sacramento State, California Division of Boating and Waterways, the California Department of Parks and Recreation and the Bureau of Reclamation. Rowing Membership Benefits and Included Equipment: As a member you are entitled to the use of the locker room, weight room and erg loft. You will receive an Aquatic Center membership card; this is used for accessing the locker room and weight room. Rowing members will also enjoy the affiliate rate on classes and on equipment not included in this membership. The following equipment is included in this membership: eight (8+)*, four (4+)*, two (2- & 2x)*, and one (open water 1x s) person shells. *Must fill out an equipment request form. These requests are reviewed and approved by our Rowing Manager. All users must be checked off on the equipment and be an Aquatic Center member prior to submitting the equipment request form. Check-in/Check-Out Procedures: Each time you visit the facility, you ll need to check in at the front office. You do not need to wait in line as a member to rent equipment, please proceed straight to the front desk and a customer service representative will be with you as soon as possible. You will need to leave a set of CAR keys to receive a wristband with the equipment you are taking out. When you are done using the equipment you will need to check out at the front office, the staff will cut off your wristbands and put the equipment you were using back in inventory. If you are using the weight room, locker room, or erg loft you still need to check in/out at the front desk and sign in and out on the Rowing Membership Log (located at the front desk.) Aquatic Center Facility Guidelines Open water swimmers are required to swim from Nimbus Flat State Park. Beach facilities are available to rent by reservation ONLY. Life jackets are provided free of charge for use at Lake Natoma. Do not lounge, swim, or fish from the docks. Fishing is not permitted at the facility. Dogs are not allowed on the property of in the watercraft. Park in designated parking areas. No parking in front of gates or roadways. The parking lot for the Aquatic Center is a State Park Parking lot and $10 parking fees apply. Vehicles improperly parked will be cited and towed. Glass containers are not permitted on the grounds. Alcohol is not permitted on the premises (special use permits are available.) The Aquatic Center is a Tobacco Free Zone. No smoking or chewing of tobacco products is permitted. No one under the influence or intoxicated by alcohol or other drugs is allowed to recreate at the Aquatic Center. Please observe hours of operation which are posted in the Front Office and online. Operating hours depend on the season and change frequently. Do no feed the wildlife ducks, geese, squirrels, etc.

Equipment Use Contract I/We understand that it is my responsibility to wear a life vest at all times when operating Sacramento State Aquatic Center equipment on the water and not on rowing equipment. I/We understand that it is my responsibility, as a user of the Sacramento State Aquatic Center, to check the equipment I am using is safe and in working condition prior to, during and after the period of loan. I/We assume full responsibility for any and all damage or injury resulting from the equipment or use of the equipment. The Sacramento State Aquatic Center does not assume liability for such damage and/or injury. I/We assume full responsibility for the equipment listed below and agree to reimburse the Sacramento State Aquatic Center for repair or replacement of all lost or damaged items. I/We understand that it is my responsibility to return and put away the equipment on time and be sure it is clean and still in proper working order. I/We understand that penalty fees may be assessed against me for failure to meet the standards as specified above. This includes a late fee of $25.00 for each quarter hour past the specified return time. I/We have read and understand the terms and conditions of this contract. I/We understand that each user is responsible to make back to the Aquatic Center under their own power. If it is necessary for the Aquatic Center staff to do a retrieval of any user there will be a $25.00 charge per retrieval. Rowing Membership Policy For shells with more than one seat we require members to fill out an equipment request form. These requests are reviewed and approved by our Rowing Manager. All users must be checked off on the equipment and be a current Aquatic Center member prior to submitting the equipment request form. Anyone not included in the membership is considered general public and must pay full price for their equipment and follow all general public rental procedures. Please inform non-members that we require a photo ID for each person over 18 and a car key for deposit, in addition, each non-member will need to sign a rental contract. Non-members renting their own equipment will be required to check in at the front desk or the kiosk when the kiosk is open. There is no guest policy. Nonmembers may only rent single rowing shells and must be checked out by the Aquatic Center. The locker room has showers and lockers for day use only. You must provide your own lock and towel. Please make sure to keep the locker room door shut at all times. Non-members are not allowed to use the locker room, weight room or erg loft. Members are subject to the Aquatic Center gate hours of operation. Please see our website for our seasonal hours. Access to equipment may be limited or restricted due to course offerings or Special Events. Family memberships are defined as families living in the same household and may have up to two (2) adults and two (2) children ages 5 to 17 years old. A child under the age of 5 would be considered a nonmember. If a family member 65 years or older living with the family would like to join the membership, they may be added to the membership at the additional fee. A 5 th person may be added to the membership at an additional fee if they live in the same household and are under 18 years of age. If over 18 they must get their own membership. A student who is currently enrolled in high school but is 18 years old may be added to a family membership. Sailboats are not permitted out on the lake in winds 17 mph and up. Rowing shells are not permitted on the lake in winds 23 mph and up. Paddle crafts are not permitted on the lake in winds 28 mph and up. Members are required to be checked off by the Aquatic Center prior to the use of qualified boat rentals. Acts of God may inhibit the use of Aquatic Center facilities or close them entirely for an undetermined period of time without notice in the interest of patron safety.

Anyone found in violation of Aquatic Center guidelines, equipment use, rules or policies may have their membership revoked and not refunded at any time.
