INVITATION TO BID LIVONIA PUBLIC SCHOOLS 15125 Farmington Road Livonia, MI 48154 Livonia Public Schools will accept bids for solid waste removal as described in the following specifications: 1. Contractor shall place state and federally approved covered front end loading refuse containers at each location and / or site. 2. Contractor shall provide appropriate documents of insurance coverage pertaining to vehicles, property damage and public liabilities, personal injury, etc., and shall hold the district harmless in any incident involving the contractor, his employees, his equipment and vehicles. 3. Contractor will be held responsible for the care and maintenance of all containers under this contract and shall replace any containers, which are, or become unfit for storage and for protection against vermin. 4. Contractor bidding on the trash and refuse services to Livonia Public Schools will be expected to familiarize themselves with the container location and with the access to the area of each site. 5. Refuse picked up by the contractor under the terms of this contract will be disposed of in a stateapproved landfill. 6. All equipment, transportation, disposal fees and other pertinent expenses necessary for the proper execution of this contract are the responsibility of the contractor and are to be included and considered part of the bid price. 7. Contractor shall submit one, two and three year contract proposals (See Bid Form). The Board of Education reserves the right to accept only a one (1) year contract. 8. Livonia Public Schools reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time because of the contractors failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the contract. 9. The successful bidder may be required to submit a performance bond in the amount of one (1) years contract, to protect the Livonia Public Schools against any expenses which may be incurred by the school district because of the contractors failure to live up to the terms specified herein. 10.
