TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS TO THE UNIVERSITY Types of Transfers: Lower division transfers: less than 60 semester transferable units Upper division transfer: at least 60 transferable units and completion of the golden four English Composition (A2) Communications (A1) Critical Thinking (A3) Mathematics (B4) *CSUB requires incoming transfers to meet the upper division transfer requirements for admissions to the University. Meet with your college advisor/counselor to see that you are upper division transfer ready. *Second baccalaureate applicants are not considered transfers. They re not required to complete GEs but must have a minimum Overall or Last 60 Units GPA of 2.50 at the time of application.
8 PREREQUISITES Prerequisites must be complete prior to entering the BSN program. Science and Statistics must be done in the last 10 years * A grade of a C or higher is needed (A C- is not acceptable)

ACADEMIC PROGRESSION POLICIES
PROGRESSION (FAILURE) POLICY Must not earn less than a C twice in the same prerequisite or cognate course requirement A minimum of a C is required in prerequisites and cognates. However, receiving mostly Cs in prerequisites will not be competitive No grade forgiveness on course(s) where less than a C was earned
REPEAT POLICY 2 repeats allowed in the prerequisites 1 science 1 non-science Cognate repeats The number of cognate course repeats has no limit Must be passed on the 2 nd attempt
WITHDRAW POLICY Must not exceed more than 19 semesters/28 quarter units worth of course W s Considers all coursework not just nursing related A Complete withdrawal from a term is forgiven W s that occurred 5 or more years prior to applying are forgiven A W in a prerequisite or cognate will not be considered a repeat
TRANSFER NURSING STUDENT A nursing transfer student is a student that was previously enrolled in an Registered Nursing program, but did not complete program Resources are not available to provide additional orientation and sections required to serve continuing transfer nursing students Letter of good standing from previous nursing program Chair/Director Typed letter addressed to the Nursing Dept. Undergraduate Programs Committee (UPC) requesting permission to apply as a new applicant
RESERVED SEATS 2 seats reserved for military veterans each year GPA requirement in prereqs: 3.00 TEAS= 75% If minimum requirements are not met, the candidate can decide if they want to compete with the general pool of applicants Alternative Military Credit
