The following reports the results of Special and General Courts-Martial tried and completed within the United States Navy in June 2018. The cases are listed by the Navy Region in which they were tried. Naval District Washington At a in Washington, D.C., AM1 Salvador Jacinto, USN, was tried for two specifications of rape of a child less than 12 years old, five specifications of sexual abuse of a child, and two specifications of child endangerment. On 26 June 2018, the panel of members returned a verdict of guilty to two specifications of rape of a child, three specifications of sexual abuse of a child, and two specifications of child endangerment and sentenced him to be discharged with a Bad Conduct Discharge and confinement for 8 years. Special Courts-Martial Navy Region Mid-Atlantic At a in Norfolk, Virginia, ABH3 Ryant L. Denton, USN was tried for false official statement, abusive sexual contact, and assault consummated by a battery. On 20 June 2018, the panel of members returned a verdict of guilty to assault consummated by a battery and sentenced him to forfeit $803 per month for 3 months, and restriction for 45 days. Navy Region Northwest At a in Oak Harbor, Washington, an E-3 was tried for rape. On 11 June 2018, the panel of members returned a verdict of not guilty. At a in Bremerton, Washington, ATAA Ryan C. Goodyear, USN pled guilty pursuant to a pretrial agreement to false official statement and wrongful use of a controlled substance. On 6 June 2018, the military judge sentenced him to reduction in rank to paygrade E-1, and confinement for 4 months. Pursuant to the pretrial agreement, all confinement greater than 90 days is to be suspended. The suspended confinement may be served if the Service Member violates the terms of the pretrial agreement. On 12 June 2018, the military judge sentenced him to be discharged with a Bad Conduct Discharge and confinement for 9 months. Pursuant to the pretrial agreement, all confinement greater than 6 months is to be suspended. On 19 June 2018, the panel of members found him guilty of aggravated assault (a lesser included offense of attempted murder), maiming and obstruction of justice. The members sentenced the accused to be discharged with a Dishonorable Discharge, reduction in rank to paygrade E-1 and confinement for 10 years. At a in Pearl Harbor, HI, IS2 Brendan Sutherland, USN pled guilty to one specification of assault consummated by a battery On 20 June 2018, the Military Judge sentenced him to reduction in rank to paygrade E-3 and confinement for 60 days. Pursuant to the pretrial agreement reduction in rank below the paygrade of E-4 and confinement above 30 days is to be disapproved. 3

Navy Region Japan At a in Yokosuka, Japan, AM2 Fabian Moreno, USN, pled guilty pursuant to a pretrial agreement to two specifications of attempted sexual abuse of a child. On 8 June 2018, the military judge sentenced him to be discharged with a Dishonorable Discharge and confinement for 18 months. Pursuant to the pretrial agreement, the Dishonorable Discharge will be reduced to a Bad Conduct Discharge. At a in Yokosuka, Japan, SN Raul Depena, USN, pled guilty pursuant to a pretrial agreement to assault consummated by a battery. On 1 June 2018, the military judge sentenced him to reduction in rank to paygrade E-1 and confinement for 90 days. Pursuant to the pretrial agreement, all confinement greater than 60 days is to be suspended.
