This edition will cover all the news and excitement we had from May through July. Lots of pictures, lots of changes and lots of exciting things happening at our home! As you may have noticed, our newsletter has a fresh new look! Keep an eye out for more informational write ups on different aspects of a nursing home. There are a LOT of rules and regulations that aren t always understood as they are complex. Our goal is to provide more education on subjects such as regulations, procedures, and policies that affect the way in which we provide care for your loved one. Enjoy the new look and information.. Stay tuned for more! Pat Young and her grandson, Nate, go for a cruise. This was Pat s car that Nate took the time to fix up so they could take a spin around town like old times. How neat is that? Thanks for letting us be part of your ride through life Pat & Nate!

Summertime Recap at PSLC During the month of May, it was madness as we prepared for National Nursing Home Week! Other events that occurred during the month of May included a fiesta to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. We enjoyed tasting a variety of Mexican beers and munched on some chips and salsa. On Mother s Day & Father s Day we honored all the mothers and fathers in Tracy Schamberger is in the associate spotlight this month. Tracy has had her CNA license since 2001 and recently started up again as one of our CNAs after working in law enforcement. Tracy was chosen as our associate of the month after receiving countless our facility with coffee and pie. Traffic through PSLC is pretty high on Mother s/ Father s Day with families in and out to love on their parents! In June we stayed busy with Picnic in the Park outings. We also got outside most mornings to enjoy the beautiful summer weather. Our special event in June was a Wine & Cheese social - we ran out of wine and all had a Associate Spotlight Tracy Schamberger compliments by family members and her fellow associates. Tracy has a passion that is very obvious every day she steps on the floor to work. Her work ethic is admirable and one of her best qualities she brings to our team. Tracy s favorite part of working at PSLC is Resident Spotlight Harry Zaborski great time! July whirled by with a full schedule of events! We celebrated Independence Day, participated in the fair, watched the parade and got a lot of one on one activities going to get our residents out and about. We are looking forward to cooler weather to return! the residents. She enjoys her one on one time with them. When asked what her passion is that drives her to care for our residents she stated: These people gave so much all their life, and now it s my turn to give back. Caring for them when they can t care for themselves is what I am here to do! Harry Zaborski is in the Resident Spotlight. Harry is a WWII Vet and very proud to be an American! Harry can always be found getting his daily exercise in, as well as a daily dose of Mother Earth as he calls it. He loves being outside and around nature. Harry reminds us everyday that exercise truly is important. When asked what the secret is to a happy life he said, Three things: exercise, sunshine and laughter. You need to laugh everyday!
