Goal #4 Advancement of the Science of Nursing Education Promote evidence-based nursing education and the scholarship of teaching Involve nurse educators, practitioners, paraprofessionals and consumers regarding current issues in healthcare and nursing education to promote professional growth and development Support student scholarships to promote nursing education Award scholarships for students seeking advanced education; one to a PN student, one to an RN, one to a Masters in Nurse Education student, and one to a PhD nursing education student (one Undergraduate and one graduate scholarship is presented at each of the two biannual MARILN programs) Scholarship committee 1) Scholarship applications are solicited in Nov 2016 for the April 2017 program and May 2017 for Oct 2018 program 2) Applications Reviewed by March 15, 2017 and Oct 1, 2017 3) Nominees to be selected by electronic voting of the board members 3 weeks before the program 4) Winners are announced at April and Oct 2017 programs 5) Recipient MUST be present at the program to receive the award Explore outside source of income to support this.
