PLEASE NOTE: All full-length papers and abstracts will be submitted to a double-blind peer-review process. The length of a presentation is 20 minutes plus five minutes for questions and feedback. Only competitive papers will qualify for the Best Paper Award (One qualitative and one quantitative paper). Only SAIMS members qualify for the Best Paper Award in both cases. Only full papers published in the conference proceedings publication will qualify for subsidy purposes. If, after evaluation/review and acceptance, you do not wish to publish your full paper, your choice must be clearly communicated to the conference organiser; in which case a twopage summary must be submitted for publication after the full paper has been reviewed and accepted. A maximum of two papers may be presented by one individual. 3) IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES 20 May 2013 The deadline for the submission of full-length papers for the competitive stream and abstracts for the work-in-progress stream. 13 July 2013 Notification of acceptance of full-length papers and abstracts will be provided to authors via e- mail. Registration opens. 3 August 2013 Final submission of accepted and corrected papers for both streams. Final day to qualify for earlybird registration discount. 20 August 2013 Deadline for registration. These should be sent to the conference e-mail: saims2013@nwu.ac.za Submissions should include a separate title page that clearly indicates the following: Title of the paper Title(s), name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s) Complete postal address(es) Telephone numbers, fax numbers and e-mail address(es) Up to four keywords describing the paper to be presented The next page should NOT include the name(s) of the author(s) as papers will be doubleblind peer-reviewed. Options of fees payable: CONFERENCE FEE5) CONFERENCE FEES Early-bird fee for SAIMS members (Payment made before or on 3 August 2013): R1 500 Early-bird fee for non-members (Payment made before or on 3 August 2013): R1 700 Normal fee for SAIMS members (Payment made after 3 August 2013): R1 700 Normal fee for non-members (Payment made after 3 August 2013): R1 900 Student fee (With a valid student card): R1 200 The visitors fee for spouses and partners who might wish to attend the cocktail function is R120 per person; the informal get-together is R120 per person and R250 per person to attend the gala dinner.
