ACI The Financial Markets Association The ACI is the largest trade association in the global financial markets with over 13,000 members in 60 countries. Qualification Successful candidates will receive either the internationally accredited ACI Dealing or ACI Operations Certificate. These qualifications are compulsory in many centres for wholesale foreign exchange and money market practitioners. N.B. Candidates who attend our workshops receive a majority of Distinction and Merit passes, and references are available upon request. Supervisor Peter Skerritt Peter has spent thirty years in the financial markets as a derivatives trader, financial engineer, author, and trainer, with experience in Europe, The United States, The Middle East, and Africa. He is an approved trainer for the examinations of the ACI, and has previously served on the International ACI Exam Appeals Committee. Currently, Peter is a member of the ACI Trainers Contact Group, which meets regularly with ACI Education to discuss syllabus changes and check all new questions that are added to the exam databases of the Dealing and Operations Certificates, as well as the ACI Diploma. He has led workshops for ACI qualifications in many countries, and candidates receive a majority of Distinction and Merit passes. Eligibility Candidates for this qualification do not have to be existing members of the ACI, although membership is encouraged; details are available at http://acikenya.co.ke/. Candidates are welcome from both bank and non-bank entities. Workshop Methods The candidates receive a series of interactive lectures in the relevant areas, which are followed by practical exercises to ensure that the learning objectives have been achieved.
Workshop Outline & Programme This combined workshop will run from to, Monday to Friday for both Dealing and Operations Certificate candidates. The Operations Certificate candidates will also be required to attend an additional day s training on the Saturday from to. Please refer to the Appendix for the workshop programme. Pre-Workshop Preparation Mandatory pre-course work is prescribed as follows: Candidates are required to complete a pre-aci module before attending the workshop. This will require an estimated 8-10 hours of private study. Upon completion of this module, candidates are required to complete an online test for assessment and feedback. N.B. Candidates who are unable to complete the pre-course preparation should not attend the workshop. Post-Workshop Preparation Following the workshop and appropriate revision, the candidates will be required to complete a test covering each of the syllabus topics using our Online Testing system, which mimics the testing system and environment of the real ACI exam. Following successful completion of the topic tests, the candidates are required to write a Revision Exam and two Mock Exams using our Online Testing System. These practice exams have been designed to closely reflect the real ACI exams. The tests and mock exams are available 24/7 and can be completed at each candidate s convenience in the office or at home. Test results are immediately provided, along with detailed feedback and model answers. Exam and Registration The ACI Dealing and ACI Operations certificate exams comprise 70 and 75 multiple-choice questions respectively, both with a 2-hour time limit, and are taken at an ACI-approved testing centre.
Peter Skerritt & Associates will assist candidates in contacting their local testing centre. The exam should ideally be taken within 4 to 8 weeks after the workshop, depending on prior knowledge and work commitments. Cost The cost of the workshop per candidate is USD 995. The cost of the workshop includes all materials and refreshments but does not include the ACI exam fee, which is currently EUR 250.
