PLACEMENTS @ LBSIM Placements are an integral part of the curriculum and often a great deciding factor for students aspiring to join premier B-schools across the country. Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management lived up to its glorious past and witnessed another wonderful year as far as placements and internships were concerned. With the economic environment witnessing uncertainties and torrid fluctuations, LBSIM did well not only to preserve its existing partnerships with the industry but also to forge new ones. The students got opportunities to match their expectation in various industrial sectors. A host of companies visited the LBSIM campus this year from a variety of industrial sectors such as FMCG, Research and Consultancy, IT/ITeS, Engineering and Durables, BFSI, Education, E-commerce, Telecom etc. Students were offered key positions like Business Manager, Marketing Manager, Relationship Manager, Analyst, Research Associate, Credit and Equity Analyst, Research Associate, Operations Manager, Associate Consultant, Pre-sales Executive and Finance Manager amongst others. Some of the recruiters that offered PPOs were: DE Shaw & Co., Asian Paints, Marsh India, Bajaj Finserv, Firstsource Solutions Ltd. OVERVIEW BFSI: LBSIM saw an increase in the number of opportunities offered by the companies in this sector and around 17% of the students got selected in this field. Marsh and Mcllenan (PPO), Bajaj Finserv, Arcesium, JLT Independent Insurance Brokers, ICICI Prudential, Janalaxmi Financial Services, DCB Bank, Birla Sunlife Insurance, SBI Life Insurance, IndusInd Bank, Religare Health Insurance, Bharti AXA Life, HDFC Bank, ICICI Securities Ltd, Aditya Birla Money, IIFL were among the many from the BFSI sector who visited our campus. IT/ITES: With 26% of the batch opting for a career in IT/ITES sector, LBSIM witnessed an increase in the number of companies offering upgraded profiles in this sector. The major recruiters from this sector were Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, TCS, LIBSYS, Newgen Technologies, TCS BPS, Infosys PBO, TCS IT (HR), Firstsource Solutions, Team Computers, Kochartech and many more. E-Commerce: LBSIM had 4% of the companies visiting the campus from this sector. Grofers, Zomato, IIM Jobs, Inbound Mantra, Emporio, Eshopbox E-commerce Pvt Ltd, Monster.com and more were among the major recruiters. FMCG: Asian Paints, CavinKare, SSIPL Retail Ltd, Gibson, NANDOS India, Varun Beverages Ltd, Fresh Foods, were some of the companies that visited us from the FMCG sector and around 6% of the students chose this sector as their field for career. Engineering and Durables: LBSIM saw a number of companies from this sector. Some of the major recruiters include Mahindra & Mahindra, Havells, Vedanta, Maruti, Orient Electric etc. Around 5% of the students got offers from this sector.
Research and Consultancy: LBSIM had the privilege of hosting various companies in the consulting business. The batch had students opting for a career in this sector with major recruiters being EYK, Deloitte, ZS associates, Smart-Cube, PwC, Axis Risk Consulting, Grail Research, KPMG, Crisil, CBRE, Cians Analytics, Collabera Technologies, KPMG (off-campus), IMRB, CARE, Evalueserve, Nielsen and many more.
