Ravenswood leads healthful change I believe everyone should have access to health care. Ravenswood Family Health Center has made that a Need. Poverty, poor nutrition, and lack of education contribute to ill health. A lack of access to primary care and preventative reality for East Palo Alto residents and beyond. medicine compounds the health risks. The result? Emergency John A. Carson, Response. Working with its partners, Ravenswood developed a scalable, sustainable primary-care model that now serves 11,000 people a year. Its programs have increased immunization rates in the city school district from 25% to 100% and enrolled 1,000 low-income diabetics in self-management programs. More than 2,000 mothers 20% under the age of 18 received pre- and post-natal care since the clinic s inception, an important step toward healthy children.
