MARK The Women of St. Mark s will be polishing Their dancing shoes for their November 3rd meeting where line dancing will be the focus. Irene Either will lead the class for the group. She has taught ballroom dancing over the years and has been teaching line dancing in the area for the past three years. K OF C TOOTSIE ROLL DRIVE This weekend, October 25-26, the Knights of Columbus will be holding their annual Tootsie Roll Drive after all the Masses to help people with intellectual disabilities. Pray the Rosary everyday to obtain peace for the world. - - Our Lady to the children at Fatima The Blessed Mother appeared with a rosary in her hand when she gave her first message to the three shepherd children, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, in Fatima, Portugal on May 13, 1917. She prayed the rosary with them monthly on the 13th from May through October. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot solve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary. - Sister Lucia of Fatima Warm Pajamas For Winter Saturday, October 25, 2014 is National Make A Difference Day and the Kickoff for the 9th year of the Annual Warm Pajama Drive. Please help Make a Difference in the lives of local children in need by donating NEW, warm pajamas for kids size 4-20 and for teenagers size adult smxxlg. Our goal is 1,000 prs. of pajamas. Last year, with great support, we collected over 600 prs! It s already getting cold, so we really need your help. Volunteers will be collecting pajamas before Mass throughout the weekend. Pj s may also be dropped off in the box at the main entrance to the church anytime through Monday, November 17th. Monetary donations may be dropped off or mailed to the Warm Pajama Fund c/o Rockland Trust, 490 Pleasant St (Rt 123), Attleboro, MA 020703. Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time Faith Formation Ministry Convention will be held on Saturday, November 15th from 8:00-3:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Taunton. Rite of Enrollment Ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 2nd at the 11:00 Mass for ninth grade students and their families. The Confirmation candidates will present to Father Frechette their Confirmation name they have chosen. Ninth grade retreat will be held on Tuesday, November 4th at La Salette Retreat Center from 3:00-8:30 p.m. All parishioners are asked to keep the retreatants in their prayers as they approach the Lord in this time apart from their hectic schedules with school and other activities. Religious Education classes will not be held on Tuesday, November 11th for grades 3 and 4 due to the Veteran s holiday. Thanksgiving Mass will be held on Monday, November 24th at 6:30 p.m. for Religious Education Students and their families in grades 5, 6 and 7 in place of their scheduled Religious Education class. The invitation is extended to all parishioners...please bring a non-perishable item to help the need for area food pantries. 40 DAYS FOR LIFE The 40 Days for Life runs daily until November 2 from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm across the street from the Four Women Clinic, 150 Emory St., Attleboro. Join us on Saturday mornings to pray the Rosary from 7:30-8:30 a.m. The convention is open to catechists, Eucharistic Ministers, and Lectors and all ministries of the parish. Workshops includes Sharing the Joy of the Gospel, Ministering in the Age of Francis, Faith, Enthusiasm, Teaching Tips, Successful Classes and other workshops for catechists. We are taking a hiatus (and hope for this year only) to reorganize the pageant with any who would like to be involved.
