Dear High School Parents: Welcome back! We hope that you had an enjoyable summer filled with family and friends, and that you are excited that your child will soon be heading back to school. The PTO is looking forward to the upcoming school year and we hope that you will consider getting involved. Here are a few ways to do that: Join the Orchard Park High School PTO Facebook page. We use the page to keep parents informed about upcoming events requiring volunteers and bakers, as well as about other information important for HS parents. Join the PTO. There are two ways to join: online or by submitting the attached form. Instructions for joining online can be found on the attached page. Members receive emails throughout the year with important PTO event information. Members also have access to the online directory of all PTO member families. Attend PTO meetings. A list of the meeting dates for the year is attached. Stay informed. Read the monthly PTO newsletter available on the HS website (click on Parent Resources and then PTO ). The newsletter contains information about what s happening at the HS, and often contains requests for volunteers. Sign up to chair an open position. The list of this year s PTO positions/chairpersons is attached. Volunteer at a PTO event. You can sign up to volunteer for some events when you join the PTO online or when you submit your paper membership form. Many volunteer opportunities are announced throughout the year, and you can find out about those on the FB page, through PTO emails, or by reading the monthly PTO newsletter. A list of the year s PTO events is attached. On behalf of the High School PTO, please enjoy the last days of summer. We look forward to seeing you in September! OPHS PTO Post Prom Information 2018-2019 Post Prom is the largest PTO event of the year and will be held this year at midnight on June 1, 2019, immediately following the Prom. The Post Prom party is a safe, drug and alcohol-free event for OP Seniors and their Prom dates. OP Seniors do not need to attend the Prom in order to attend Post Prom. Last year, more than 350 students attended Post Prom. The students enjoyed entertainment, refreshments, and prizes. The night culminated in a drawing for the grand prize of $2018. This year s grand prize will be $2019. The success of Post Prom depends upon the generosity of parents, community members, and local businesses in making monetary and prize donations. The fundraising campaign begins NOW! Please consider making a donation and/or signing up to volunteer in some capacity. Donors are recognized in the monthly PTO Newsletter. You do not need to be the parent of a senior to volunteer all are welcome! Donations of any amount are gratefully accepted. Suggested donations levels are as follows: $ 20.19 2019 Club (2020, 2021, and 2022 Club levels also available) $ 50.00 Principal s Club $100.00 Superintendent s Club $150.00 Community Sponsor You can make your donation online through your My School Anywhere account or you can mail a donation to: OPHS Attn: PTO Post Prom 4040 Baker Road Orchard Park, NY 14127 You can sign up to be a member of the Post Prom Committee through your My School Anywhere account or through your paper membership form.
