Energy Efficiency Rebates for Multifamily Properties Who is eligible? A Multifamily Property may consist of an apartment complex with 2 or more dwelling units. Cash rebates are available for the installation of energy efficiency products in the common areas and inside the tenant dwellings. Property owners (and property managers, as authorized agents) may receive a rebate for these energy efficiency retrofits. Property owners or managers may also authorize a 3 rd party payment for a contractor to receive the rebate to install the product at their property.

Reservation & Application Forms Funding is limited, so Reservations are required for larger energy efficient retrofit projects. The Reservation and Application Forms are included in each Multifamily Rebate catalog. For assistance on obtaining a rebate catalog, customers must call PG&E s Smarter Energy Line at 1-800-933-9555 or visit www.pge.com/multifamily. The Application Forms, Proof of Payment, and supporting documentation must be submitted to PG&E for rebate processing.

Application s Final Process The submitted Application Form and other documents are paired up with the existing Reservation Form. Products on the Proof of payment are reviewed for eligibility and specification requirements. After review process is complete, the application is committed for payment. Applications may be subject to inspection by a PG&E inspection representative. Once this process is complete, the inspection results are captured and a cash-back rebate is issued to the customer or authorized 3 rd party entity.
Current Challenges & Workarounds.. The current website (www.pge.com/multifamily) does not have an electronic catalog or downloadable form. Customers have been calling the 800 number and are being routed directly to the Program Manager for electronic files and assistance. Product Location Form does not have sufficient fields for large complexes (50+ units). A template version of this Form may provided in an excel format upon request.
