SATURDAY, JUNE 30 NATURE ADVENTURE: HIKE TO THE TRAIN WRECK* Guest Services at 9:00 a.m. sharp. Enjoy a guided, casual hike along the glacier-fed Cheakamus River to the remains of a train derailment from the 1950s. At the wreck there are 5 train cars scattered upon the forest floor with massive coastal evergreen trees that have grown around them. Some local artists have decorated the cars with amazing graffiti work. Moderate fitness level is required; limited space available. Tour is 2.5 hours; please register with Royal Service. CAMP FAIRMONT Handbook OUTDOOR ADVENTURE: BIKE TO LAKESIDE SPLASH PARK* Meet at Bike Rental Shop downstairs at 1:00 p.m. sharp (2 hour tour). A casual ride on the Valley Trail to one of Whistler s many beautiful parks and lakes. Bike Rentals are $15.00/hour for adults and $10.00/hour for children. Fairmont President s Club Members receive complimentary bike rentals for up to 2 hours per day based on availability. FIELD GAMES: FRANKIE FURMONT S FIND THE BEAR CHALLENGE* Croquet Lawn at 4:00 p.m. Find a hiding gummy bear in your whip cream pie first to win a special prize from Fairmont Chateau Whistler s beary cool mascot, Frankie. No hands allowed! SUNDAY, JULY 1 COMMUNITY: CANADA DAY PARTY* Croquet Lawn from 9:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. It s theme day!!! Today s special colour is red, and the hotel s parade float theme is The Great Canadian Camp Out. We encourage you to dress up! In preparation for Whistler s extensive Canada Day festivities, morning activities will include crafts, face painting, balloon twisting, lawn games and more! COMMUNITY: CANADA DAY FLAG RAISING AND BIRTHDAY CAKE SHARING* Hotel Lobby 11:00 a.m. Show your proud Canadian spirit! At 11:00 a.m. we ll meet in the Hotel Lobby and head outside to raise the flag on Canada s 151st Birthday. The flag raising will be followed by our always tasty cake sharing tradition. COMMUNITY: HAVE YOU EVER DREAMED OF WALKING IN A PARADE? Here is your opportunity to walk with the Fairmont Chateau Whistler float through Whistler Village to celebrate Canada Day. Please meet our Whistler Experience Guide in the hotel lobby at 11:30 a.m. to be escorted by foot to the parade departure area. The parade will start at noon and run for about 45 minutes. SPORTS DAY: STREET HOCKEY* Tennis Court #2 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Join us for some good old Canadian fun and a colour war! Sticks will be available to borrow while supplies last. OUTDOOR ADVENTURE: URBAN OLYMPICS INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL CHASE* Hotel Lobby anytime between 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Bring the 2010 Olympic spirit back to life with Eventology s high tech and interactive Urban Olympics themed challenge in the style of the Amazing Race. Find the giant Olympic Flag in the lobby to scan a QR code and download the free App on your smart phone or tablet to play. Playing as individuals or in a team, whilst highlighting some of Whistlers famous features and attractions, you will have a number of GPS triggered physical, mental and creative Olympicthemed challenges to complete. The chase will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. The winner s prize will be delivered to their guest room by 6:30 p.m. which will include a special basket of sweet treats and a gift certificate for a one-night hotel stay.* *Gift certificate for a future one-night stay in a Fairmont room, based on availability. Restrictions apply. COMMUNITY: SING-ALONG BY THE FIRE* Wildflower Patio from 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Snuggle around a cozy fire and indulge in a cup of delicious hot chocolate while singing some of our favourite camp songs with musician Erik Van Meerbergen. Bring along the Shaggy Shakers that you made on July 1 at the hotel s morning Canada Day Party.

TUESDAY, JULY 3 LIFE SKILLS: EXUDING CONFIDENCE THROUGH NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION* Empress Ballroom A from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. This fun filled session will help strengthen self-awareness and provide tips on how to radiate confidence. Learn the power of posture, how to walk with poise, and how to maintain engaging eye contact. Best suited to ages 10-16! CULTURAL ADVENTURE: INTERPRETIVE FOREST WALK WITH THE SQUAMISH LIL WAT CULTURAL CENTRE* Meet at Guest Services at 11:00 a.m. sharp for a 60 minute tour. A Cultural Ambassador from the Squamish Lil wat Cultural Centre joins our adventure today to talk about the local flora, fauna and First Nations history of the region. We will finish the tour with a cedar bark bracelet making activity at the Squamish Lil wat Cultural Centre. ART ADVENTURE: THE NIGHT SKY OVER THE MOUNTAINS IN WATERCOLOUR* Frontenac Ballroom Foyer from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. One of our favourite summer activities is star gazing. Join us for an afternoon painting party of the glorious night sky with Arts Adventures Canada. Instruction will start at 3:30 p.m. Best suited to ages 8 and older. COMMUNITY: FRANKIE FURMONT S TUG OF WAR CHAMPIONSHIP* Croquet Lawn at 5:00 p.m. Calling all Tug O Warriors! Join Frankie Furmont for this favourite classic rope game that challenges two opposing teams to win the flag through teamwork, cooperation and strength. The prize? Laughter and bragging rights! WEDNESDAY, JULY 4 LIFE SKILLS: KNIGHT CAMP* Croquet Lawn 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. On guard, Knights of the Chateau! Led by Academie Duello Centre for Swordplay, learn how to maintain stance, attack, and counter attack with experiential lessons in swordplay all the while improving your poise and confidence! The lesson time will be divided into a series of mini lessons, ranging from 15-30 minutes, at the discretion of the individual instructor(s).
