UCIE will provide the pumpkin and the utensils needed to carve. Date: October 30th (Friday) Time: 3 5 PM Venue: UCIE Conference Room (SU E 190)

2) Halloween Costume Contest Party at UCIE: UCIE's Epic Halloween Costume Contest in honor of Halloween. Dress in your best costume and visit the UCIE office for a chance to compete in UCIE's Epic Halloween Costume Contest. UCIE will announce the best costume winner during Global Connections. When: October 30th, 2015 Time: 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM Note: Participants must meet Cathy or Jonathon at UCIE office when they arrive with their costume. For any questions, contact Catherine Hernandez at catherine.hernandez@wright.edu 3) Transportation to Burlington Coat Factory: UCIE is providing transportation to Burlington Coat factory for all international students. Please use this opportunity and plan your shopping for this winter. Schedule: When: November 2nd & 3rd, 2015 Time: 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM When: November 4th & 5th, 2015 Time: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM To Register: Please email Anoop at ucie19@wright.edu. Only 11 slots are available each day. 4) International Career Talks: Develop professionally and learn about OPT, CPT, customizing resumes and job readiness. Student will be encouraged to ask questions to the job readiness panel made of Dr. Amit Sheth, Dr. Riad Ajami, Dr. John Conteh, Nuzieba Ibrahim, Jessica M. Lee and Career Services. If you have questions about being job ready after graduation, submit your questions to catherine.hernandez@wright.edu. These questions will be asked anonymously during the job readiness panel during the career talks.

Join the UCIE Convo Club on November 2nd from 3 4pm in the UCIE Conference Room (Student Union E190) for a chance to interact with native English speakers and improve your skills in a fun and friendly environment. For questions, contact Catherine Hernandez at catherine.hernandez@wright.edu. 6) UCIE International Photography Contest: An opportunity to participate and shine through UCIE. During this year s International Education Week (November 16 20, 2015), the University Center for International Education (UCIE) office will hold a Photo Contest.

Deadline to submit the photograph is November 10th. The winning photos should meet one of the following criteria: 1. Best Landscape shot 2. Best Portrait 3. Best Cultural depiction Photo Contest Rules: Participants must be WSU Students, Faculty/Staff, and Alumni: Each photo entry must be submitted with an entry form which are available at UCIE E190 Student Union or www.wright.edu/ucie/resource/iew.html Photo can be in color or black & white. Photo must be submitted in a 1) 8 X 10 inch Hard copy (you do not need to frame) at UCIE E190 Student Union 2) Digital format with high resolution image can be emailed to ucie19@wright.edu *(Both Hard copy and Digital Format are required to be considered for the contest)* One photo entry per person. 7) UCIE Poster Contest (Win $50): An opportunity to participate and showcase your creativity. Create a poster for the UCIE's biggest annual event the "Wright State International Festival" with the following theme: "Innovations Around the World". The winning poster may be used as the official International Festival poster in April 2016. Contents must be of original idea/content in (11x17) Tabloid, 300 DPI or in vector format. Submit source files and a physical print out to the UCIE office. For more information please contact Anoop at ucie19@wright.edu. 8) I 20 Signing Party Fall 2015: University Center for International Education (UCIE) is providing students an opportunity to get their I 20's signed for this Fall/Winter break travel.

Students must not have any holds, have 6 months validity on passport, have valid I 20 for nest semester and be in good academic standing to receive IMMEDIATE TRAVEL SIGNATURE. Location: 2nd Floor Student Union, Room E244 C Signing Sessions: November 3rd, 18th, 2015 (11:30 AM 1:00 PM) & December 1st, 9th, 2015 (11:30 AM 1:00 PM) Please Note: Students can still submit their I 20's for travel signature requests any time. 9) OPT Instructions for Fall 2015 International students graduating in fall 2015 semester may begin applying for OPT on September 21, 2015. The final date for fall 2015 graduates to apply for OPT is February 5, 2016. Choose a start date OPT between 12/20/2015 and 2/18/2016. PLEASE NOTE: If you have any reservations regarding potential graduation for fall 2015 semester, do not apply for OPT until you are certain about graduation. 10) Fall Semester Open Immigration Advising STARTING SEPTEMBER 8TH IN E190 STUDENT UNION Check out the days and times below to consult with one of the University Center for International Education immigration advisors! All international students graduating in fall 2015 can get two photos (Size 2 x 2 ) just for $5. Please stop by E232 Student Union. We are open on every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 noon to 5 PM starting from September 22, 2015 till February 5, 2016. Open session. First come, first serve.
