MAUI COUNTY HEALTHCARE PARTNERSHIP 2018 ACTION PLAN The Maui County Healthcare Partnership is an alliance of healthcare organizations across Maui County who come together to work on shared issues. It is coordinated and staffed by the Maui Economic Development Board, and completely driven by the shared needs of participating healthcare providers. It was originally launched in March 2017. The Partnership s Vision (Who We Are) o We are an emerging alliance of over 70 established healthcare organizations in Maui county who share a vision for a healthy community. o MCHP strives to improve the healthcare delivery system of Maui county by identifying and clarifying existing strengths and weaknesses, visioning the ideal, and working to craft ways to close any identified gap o The Maui County healthcare community is collaborative and coordinated, thus ensuring Maui residents get the full spectrum of care they deserve. The Partnership s Mission (What We Do) o Knowing it s not enough to serve patients inside our own walls, the Maui county healthcare community leverages and strengthens its anchor and many support institutions so that patients are treated holistically. o We actively seek partnerships with each other; everyone wants in on the collaboration. The Partnership s goals are: To jointly create an agenda that supports the stability and growth of the Healthcare industry in Maui County; To commit to coordinated action and implementation of shared, high priority areas by public and private sector partners. To create a forum for the county s healthcare industry for consistent, high quality connections, networking, information and idea sharing. This Partnership relies on its healthcare partners to define and help implement shared solutions to shared issues, and to help identify ways to staff and support implementation.
