Advisory Input (continued) Hiring Preferences and Practices: What are the characteristics/skills sought in new hires? PVHMC-On our magnet journey. PIH Health- We hire A.D.N. graduates that are pre-employed at PIH with the understanding that they are on their way to the BSN level. Looking for the nurse that wants to go above and beyond, involvement and professionalism. Believes that the SIM lab is taking away the conversation level of the student with the patient. Would love to do preceptorships in OB, home health areas for the BSN programs. ensued regarding students that already have a BS Degree prior to nursing. CVHP-Sylvia Coleman. Stresses building connection with the patients and family. CVHP uses value-based interviews. What skills are lacking in current applicants or work experience participants? See above comments.
