Its October 7 th do you know where your EAP is? 2010 EMERGENCY EVACUATION DRILL On October 7th, Stanford University will conduct an earthquake response drill for the entire Stanford campus community; this will include 3145 Porter Drive. The drill will simulate the immediate response and evacuation procedures that you would use for an earthquake for all university organizations. At the direction from the Provost, the exact time of the exercise will not be announced but the drill will take place during business hours on Thursday, the 7th of October. Drill Activation The drill will begin with the sound of an Air Horn in your immediate area. At that time, all Porter Drive residents should Duck, Cover and Hold On (Approximately 45 seconds). After the initial duck and cover exercise, a whistle will blow and all individuals should evacuate their area and report to their assigned Emergency Assembly Point to check in. Please do so in a quiet and calm manner and pay attention to specific instructions that are given to you by Emergency Response Team members. Please Note: At the end of the drill one blast of the Air horn will signal an end to the drill within 30 minutes. At that point, all individuals may return to normal operations. We still need one more person located on the 2 nd floor of Corte Madera to serve as an Emergency Response Team member, for more details send your interest to jamesr2@stanford.edu
