Processes of Writing Writing is a process that includes a prewriting phase where ideas are generated, A composing and revising phase where ideas are refined and elements of presentation are considered, And a proofreading phase where the presentation is adjusted in order to conform to standard written English. 6
Generating Ideas (Prewriting) Requires the writer to select and limit topics, Draw upon their own knowledge, as well as other sources, Set purposes, And define his or her own audience. 7
