Current Year Tuition Plan for 2018-19 A September 2017 resolution confirmed the commitment of President Spellings and the Board of Governors to maintaining accessibility and affordability of higher education for all North Carolinians. For 2018-19, tuition increases were only allowed for nonresident undergraduate students and all graduate students. The total maximum allowable increase for mandatory student fees was 3%. The Board of Trustees of UNC Asheville approved no increases to tuition and general student fees for 2018-19.

Next Year Tuition Plan for 2019-20 No increases are allowed for undergraduate resident students. Combined tuition and fee rates for undergraduate residents shall continue to remain in the bottom quartile of our peers. Increases are allowed for nonresident and graduate students. Combined rates for these students should be market driven and reflect the full cost of providing a quality education. The total maximum allowable percentage increase for mandatory student fees that are charged to all students is 3%.
