Transfer Scholarships Minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA At least 15 earned transfer credits, not including developmental courses or advanced placement Must be admitted to ULL Transfer-reentry students are not eligible
Out-of-State Fee Waiver Scholarships (For Fall 2010) First-Time Freshman (under 12 hours of college courses): Must have ACT composite of 23 or greater or SAT of 1050 or greater (Verbal and Math only) At least a 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale Must have English ACT of 18 (SAT of 450) and Math ACT of 19 (SAT of 460) Must be admitted to the University Transfer Students: Must have cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale on all college level work Must have no need for remedial course work

Incoming Freshman Scholarship Offers UL Lafayette Jefferson Caffery Scholarship Requirements: 30+ ACT; 3.0 Cum G.P.A. National Merit Semi-Finalist Award: Jefferson Caffery Scholarship = $12,000 over 4 years 4 Year Housing Scholarship = $8,120 UL Study Abroad Scholarship = $4,000 Academic Scholarship Job = $8,300 Use of a laptop computer
Freshman Scholarship Offers $8,000 Academic Scholarship to students who have: ACT of at least 28 (or SAT of at least 1250) 3.0 cumulative high school GPA (4 year scholarship)
Incoming Freshman Academic Scholarships Requirements for Fall 2010: 23+ ACT 3.0 Cumulative GPA No developmental classes needed Students are ranked and awarded the following: Centennial Scholarship = $6,000, or $750 a semester for 4 years Academic Excellence Scholarship = $4,000, or $500 a semester for 4 years Distinguished Freshman Scholarship = $1,000, or $500 a semester for 1 year Distinguished Freshman Housing Scholarship = $2,030 (cost of room for 1 year)
Additional Types of Freshman Scholarships The Dr. Ray P. Authement Valedictorian Scholarship $1,000 for Freshman year Literary Rally Scholarship $100 for first place
Scholarship Process for University Scholarships March April = offers made & accepted June = Distribution Sheet mailed July = Award Letter sent from the Scholarship Office July = return Award Letter to the Scholarship Office August = payment is due
Important Dates and Information June 21, 2010 = distribution information mailed to students at their HOME ADDRESS June 28, 2010 = Award Letters mailed to students at their HOME ADDRESS July 1, 2010 = ULink portal available to check bills July 13, 2010 = Award Letters need to be returned to the Scholarship Office.
Important Dates and Information August 11, 2010 = complete bill must be paid to reserve classes; automatic deferments for students verified for TOPS and financial aid will be given by the Financial Aid Office August 23, 2010 = classes begin; refunds will be deposited for those students who have direct deposit or refund checks will be mailed after school starts

UL Lafayette Foundation Scholarships Donors/friends of University provide funds Guidelines developed according to wishes of the donor University Committees make selections (primarily by major) Scholarship opportunities change as major changes
How to Apply for Foundation Scholarships For Incoming Freshman the scholarship application is used For Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors at UL Lafayette Faculty Scholarship Coordinators are in each college Selection begins in January for the next year Mostly at Junior and Senior level
