Campus M inistry Center TO: Fr o m : re: A ll M embers of t h e la Salle university Co m m u n i t y B R. C H I P Position An n o u n c e m e n t The text which appears below will soon appear in both the National Catholic Reporter and The Chronicle o f Higher Education. We are publishing it here so that members of the La Salle community can pass it along to possible candidates. Many thanks for your help in filling this most important position. La Salle University, a Catholic institution in the Christian Brothers tradition of higher education, is searching for an ordained priest to join the staff of the Campus Ministry Center. The Center supports strong programs in liturgy, community service, and social justice. Besides presiding at sacramental celebrations, responsibilities include preaching, supervising the training of liturgical ministers, planning liturgies in cooperation with members of the liturgy committee, and providing opportunities for members of the community to participate in reflective and social events. In addition to being an out-going person possessed of those collaborative skills needed to work with students and staff rich and diverse in faith traditions and cultures, the ideal candidate should have both some experience in ministry in a campus setting and a demonstrated dedication to higher education. To allow the full participation of all members of the community, especially students, the deadline for application will be Friday, August 18, 1995; the position will commence as soon as possible after October 13, 1995. The appointment is for 10 months and includes a competitive benefits package. A resume and any pertinent supporting materials (including three letters of recommendation from persons familiar with the candidate's experience in ministry) should be sent to Brother Charles Echelmeier, FSC, Director of Campus Ministry, La Salle University, Box 841, 1900 W. Olney Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19141. La Salle University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
