What is a Professional Profile Module 3 - Cayuse Professional Profile / Page 2 of 19 Professional Profiles capture and store data about Principal Investigators, Key Personal, Other Significant Contributors, AORS, Signing g Officials, etc. Before you create a grant application, you must create a Professional Profile for the Principal Investigator who is named in the grant. If creating a profile for faculty some information may have been bulk loaded during implementation of CAYSUE. See Faculty_Professional_Profile Profile set up. Information stored in the Professional Profile is auto-filled into the grant proposal. Profiles stored in Cayuse424 can be shared with others and used multiple times You must set up Professional Profiles for all Key Personnel and Other Significant Contributors named in the grant proposal.

If the name of the person you are searching for is not in the pick list, Click the icon to begin the set up for their professional profile. Enter First and Last Name Click the Create New Profile button
Managing Permissions Module 3 - Cayuse Professional Profile / Page 5 of 19 Once a Professional Profile has been created, permissions can be assigned The creator of a Professional Profile is automatically granted all permissions associated with using that profile. The profile creator can share the profile with other users by granting appropriate permissions. This will give permission to make changes to this profile. Permissions can be changed or removed.

Attaching one or more Biosketches will allow them to be easily associated later with your grant proposals. You can store both the Biosketch source document and the resulting PDF. Attaching Biosketches 1. To upload a Biosketch to the Professional Profile click the 2. Type in a name for the Biosketch and click Next 3. Click Browse to locate PDF version of Biosketch you ve previously created Click Next 4. Repeat Step 3 to attach Source (Word) version of Biosketch (optional) Click Done Multiple Biosketches can be created and stored in each professional profile.

This is achieved by linking the Professional Profile to an Institutional Profile. Once an individual (Profile) is associated with an institution, basic institutional information (e.g., fi fringe rates) can be auto-filled into that t individual s id Professional Profile. If you are creating a professional profile for a person from another institution who is going to be a senior/key person on a proposal and therefore needs to have a professional profile established in CAYUSE you will need to determine if that person s institutional i i profile has been established. If the institution is not in the select list, you will need to contact your Contract and Grant Administrator to establish an institutional profile before you can complete the professional profile set up. You will need to provide the following two items to your Contract and Grant Administrator in order for them to establish the institutional profile. Institution s Legal Name DUNS number

It is important that you complete the Appt Type information as this auto-populates in proposals, DO NOT input salary information. Click on the Import Institutional Rates button and select the correct fringe benefit rate based on the employees classification.

A person must have a professional profile in CAYUSE in order to be selected as a delegate. You will be delegating your rights and responsibilities to another user. You will specify the Delegate in your Routing Profile and that t person: Can approve/retract proposals in your stead. Receive all the email communications concerning routing that you do.
