Before you begin Before you begin the online application process, it will be helpful to have the following materials available within reach: Transcript from Guidance Office Schedule from Guidance Office FAFSA and/or tax forms Resume listing activities, clubs, volunteer work, skills, etc.
How to Access Scholarships Visit the Tri-Central Community Dollars for Scholars website Click on the Student & Parents tab Click to log-in
How to Access Scholarships If you re a returning user and already have an account, go ahead and log-in here First time users, click here to create your account
Creating Your Account Start by entering the city & state where your school is located Then choose Tri-Central High School from the list
Creating Your Account Enter your residential information Once this is complete, you will receive an email to verify your username and password. You will then be directed to the student dashboard Make sure to use an email that reflects favorably on you. This is how you will receive information on scholarship deadlines, opportunities, etc. If you DON'T receive this email, make sure to check your spam folder

Student Profile Basic Info Sections will expand to allow additional information Items marked with a double asterisk** are required to move forward Items marked with a single asterisk* are part of your dashboard status bars that show progress in each section
Student Profile - Schools Include your most likely prospective major and college/university. This will lead to more scholarship opportunities. You can change it later, but if you do, that may change your eligibility. You will have the opportunity to be more specific about your major in your Goals essay
Student Profile - GPA Data will be compared to your transcript, so fill in this page to the best of your ability You will not be penalized if your information does not match your transcript
Student Profile Test Scores & Class Rank Enter ALL your final test scores and class rank here. Data will be compared to your transcript, so complete to the best of your ability You will not be penalized if information does not match your transcript
Student Profile Other Financial Awards Enter the name and amount of any scholarships you have already received. This should be updated as you continue to receive other local, state, or national scholarships
Student Profile Activities Enter all school and community related extra-curricular activities (church, sports, volunteering, etc.) Only list those activities which you have been involved with during high school You may find it helpful with these activities and essays to create your text in Word and then copy and paste it into the application boxes.

Student Profile Parent & Financial Info Some scholarships consider financial need. These will be marked on the application with a $. Your parent/guardian will need to enter their financial data in order for you to be considered for these scholarships. Your parents will receive an email from Scholarship America to obtain their own log-in password
Student Profile : Parent & Financial Info Use Method 1. When you have your FAFSA information, your parents do NOT need to create a log-in, as you can enter the information yourself.
Student Profile Transcripts & References When adding counselor information, applicants will add "Donna Cook" and must use the email address dcook@tccs,k12.in.us No phone number is needed.
Student Profile Transcripts & References Our chapter REQUIRES LETTERS OF REFERENCE from two adults, in hard copy. These must be delivered in hard copy to the High School Guidance Office BY APRIL 1. DO NOT request a reference from a teacher or administrator at your current school or from a relative. These letters must state the student's full name and include the name and contact information of the "referee." The content of the reference must include the nature and length of the relationship, their general opinion of the student, and their thoughts on the student's plans, goals and college choice.
Student Profile Essays The text boxes will expand to fit your essay, so the size should not stop you from providing the full information required It may be helpful to produce your essay response in a Word document first, and then copy and paste it into the application text box Please answer these questions as essays and do not give incomplete sentances or lists.
Student Profile Find Scholarships Once your student profile has been completed, it is time to apply for scholarships To find and apply for new scholarships, click here under My Scholarships
Student Profile Scholarship Matches You will then be directed to several questions that will determine your eligibility for local and national scholarships. If you answer yes, you are able to apply for that scholarship and it will appear under your Unsubmitted Applications If you answer no, you are not eligible for this scholarship and it will no longer appear *If you accidentally select no, please email scholars@tiptoncf.org
Student Profile Apply Check for completeness before submitting An additional essay may be required before submitting some applications You MUST click Submit App as final step and to formally apply for that scholarship Once done, all applications will then appear in the Submitted Application section
