Airport shuttle times will be posted on Friday night. Look for lists posted on your floors and in the elevators. Please see the office if your information is incorrect. All students must be checked out of the program by 12:00 pm and must vacate the dorm by 3:00pm. Shuttle times will be posted in elevator and in hallway. Please be at the bus meeting point 20 minutes prior to your departure. Check-Out To-Do List: Pack Belongings (check all drawers and closets) Clean Your Room. Place trash into the hall trash cans located outside the floor lounges. Place linens and towels inside your pillow case and put on your bed. Leave pillow and folded blanket on the bed. JUNE 19, 2016 JUNE 27, 2016 Guest Speakers: Dr. James Sowell Georgia Tech Senior Academic Professional Dr. James Sowell is an astronomer at Georgia Tech, where he is the Director of the Campus Observatory. In addition to teaching and research, he performs public outreach and education, including Public Nights, presentations at schools, workshops for teachers, and distance-learning video conferences across the globe. Dr. Sowell earned a B.S. and M.S. from Vanderbilt University and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan (in 1986). He came to Georgia Tech in 1989. He teaches three astronomy courses and directs students in research on binary star systems. He was honored with an Undergraduate Educator Award in 2009. Ms. Su Patel Principal Application Technologist As a Leader and Evangelist in Enterprise Cloud Applications Technology, Su Patel is a Cloud Technology Sales Consultant at Oracle, a large global business software provider. Su has worked in the Tech industry for 25+ years in a number of different industries such as Healthcare, Telecommunications, Gaming, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, etc. She holds Management of Science in Management of Technology from Georgia Institute of Technology and B.A. Computer Science from Rutgers, State University of N.J. Su is an avid sports fan Philly and Atlanta learning about ACC, SEC, etc. She enjoys hiking, skiing, biking, jog/walking 5K & 10Ks.
