ALBARAKA TÜRK KATILIM BANKASI A.Ş. ALBARAKA TÜRK PARTICIPATION BANK CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ACTIVITIES Accelerating its corporate social responsibility activities through a protocol signed with the Solidarity Association of Environmental Organizations (ÇEKÜD) in 2007, Albaraka Türk broadly involved itself in ÇEKÜD s reforestation project and supported the planting of the Albaraka Türk Memorial Forest. According to a report published by ÇEKÜD in 2011, of the 2,000 saplings planted in the reforestation project successfully carried out jointly by Albaraka Türk and ÇEKÜD in the Durusu district of Çatalca, 1,950 took root yielding an overall sapling survival rate that was above the national average in Turkey. Albaraka Turk donate seedlings on behalf of each for all its valuable women workers in cooperation with Environmental Organizations Solidarity Association (ÇEKÜD) at March 8 International Women's Day, in 2016.

Albaraka conducts blood donation campaign a few times each year. With the understanding of '' Every donation is a life ", blood donation campaigns are carried out through the implementation of one of the most sensitive example of social solidarity in Albaraka Headquarters. Third meeting of "From Local to Global with SMEs" was organized in Gaziantep with the participation of hundreds of businessmen which aimed at helping the SMEs to get involved in commercial competition in order to develop the local economy. In order to create the financial literacy, financial access awareness and capabilities for individuals; working on awareness, education, research, support to implementation, policies that are working and producing, which aim to create a financial literate ecosystem for Turkey, Albaraka has sponsored the book "Learning to Collect, Share and Spending" of Financial Literacy and Inclusion Association (FODER) in 2015. Istanbul Seb-i Arus ceremony was organized under the main sponsorship of Albaraka at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall; 15 thousand people have participated along with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other prominent figures of politics, art and culture who made speech on the importance and meaning of the day. 10 th Turkish-Arabic Economy Forum was organized in Istanbul in April and was sponsored by our bank and our Vice General Manager Ayhan Keser has participated as a speaker. Important executives and managers from especially banking and other sectors have participated in this program and it was hosted by Minister of Finance, Mehmet Simsek. A workshop was organized by participants from all the banks within Albaraka Banking Group (ABG) in May, 2015 in order to discuss the "PAC Project". PAC Project is a joint ABG segment to be established by longterm participation of banks within the group and cross-border banking service model to be provided for this segment. Workshop was organized in Turkey and the decisions were circulate to the whole group by Mr. Adnan Ahmed Yusuf ABDULMALEK as a memorandum annex.

Fourth Albaraka International Calligraphy Competition was organized in 2015; by which we reward the most valuable artists in the field of calligraphy, and having a massive audience to learn about it. 224 artists from 25 different countries have participated in the competition. The subject of this year was Grant, in other words, "to give the belongings those who need without any expectations". The first prize was awarded with 30 thousand TRY, second prize was 20 thousand TRY and third prize was 15 thousand TRY. 224 artists from 25 countries have participated with 303 works. Albaraka International Calligraphy Competition was launched in 2005, and second one was organized in 2008, whereas the third was in 2011. The jury members of this year were important figures of calligraphy such as Prof. Ugur Derman, Hasan Celebi, Ali Toy, Davut Bektas, Mehmed Ozcay, Prof. Dr. M. Husrev Subasi and Assist. Prof. Dr. Savas Cevik.

B-fit Women Entrepreneurs Ninth Ordinary Annual Congress was organized under the sponsorship of Albaraka between the dates May 29-31. This organization is realized each year by B-fit with the participation of its own franchises and this year it was at Radison Blu Hotel & Spa. Our bank has sponsored the Sixth Istanbul Finance Summit which was organized under the main theme Progress Under Low Growth and Low Interest" between the dates September 8-9. Our General Manager Mr. Fahrettin YAHŞI has participated as a speaker in the summit. International Islamic Economy and Finance Congress was organized in Sakarya between the dates October 21-23, and our bank is one of the sponsors. Our General Manager Mr. Fahrettin YAHŞI was among the speakers. The sponsorship of 19th Finance Symposium at Hitit University was undertaken by our bank; to which our General Manager Mr. Fahrettin Yahsi participated. Second "Smart Economic Planning and Industry Policies" Conference was organized at Istanbul between the dates November 12-13, 2015 with the participation of world famous development economist Cambridge University professor Ha-Joon Chang and under our sponsorship. Second Viop Risk Management Conference was organized on November 17, which was held by Stock Exchange Istanbul Derivatives Exchange under the sponsorship of our bank. Our Vice Manager Mr.Mehmet Ali Vercin has participated as a speaker at the section named "Risk Management in Islamic Products". MUSIAD Visionary 2015 was organized at Istanbul between the dates November 18-19 and we were the sponsor of session named "Human Values in Future". Sixth Bogazici Summit, of which we are among the silver sponsors, was organized at Ciragan Palace between the dates December 9-11, 2015 under the theme "Less Poverty, More Welfare" with the participation of prominent figures of politics and business from 80 countries.
