January Events New Directions Hockey continued with 70 participants and Figure Skating with 5. Four St. Olaf Seniors attended the OWLS lunch at partnership church, Lord of Life in Maple Grove on Thursday, January 7. St. Olaf said goodbye to beloved Music Director, Robert Murphy, on Sunday, January 10. Robert moved to Jamestown, North Dakota. Six Adults attended the Adult Fellowship gro.iip on Friday:January 15. Twenty-five people attended a communitymeeting at St. Olaf on February 21 to respond to the Black Lives Matter demonstrations in D_ecember. It was decided to work on employment for people returning to the community from jail. Twelve people attended a downhill ski trip to Welch Village on Saturday, January 23. Seven men attended the Wildfire Men's Fellowship Dinner on Sunday, January 24, at Elim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale. They heard Police Chief Franzen of the Robbinsdale Police Department speak. February Events There will be a Snow Tubing event on Friday, February 5, from 5:30-9:00 pm at Elm Creek Park. Transportation will leave from the church at 5 pm. Youth, grades 6-12 may attend without a parent. Permission slips are on the table by the church office. -' Men's Work Saturday is back (Feb. 6). It will be the first Saturday of every month from 10 am - 12 noon. The purpose of Men's Work Saturday is to do cleaning and maintenance of the church. Women may attend as well. Youth may attend with Saturday work credit. Ash Wednesday service will be at Christ English Lutheran Church, Lowry and Newton Aves. N. The service is at 7 pm and transportation will be available. Sign up on the table by the office. The OWLS (Seniors) Luncheon will be on.. Thursday, February 11 (Normally, the OWLS luncheqns are qn the 1' 1 Thursday of the month.).
