Conditions: You are assigned as the Brigade S-1 and are responsible for assessing the combat capability of your brigade and subordinate units from a Human Resources (HR) perspective. Manning for the S-1 section is at 78% and you do not have an assigned Warrant Officer. Your Strength Manager (2LT) arrived from the Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC) two weeks ago. Your unit will deploy to a mature theater in 180 days. You have access to HR enabling systems, your Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE), and references listed on the enclosed table. Some iterations of this task should be performed in MOPP 4. Standards: Develop a strength management and personnel distribution plan that ensures the brigade deploys at or above the current HQDA Manning Guidance. Identify 100% of non-deployable Soldiers and request replacements. (3) Reconcile applicable HR and medical readiness databases. 2. Manage Soldier Utilization, Distribution and Slotting. a. Determine replacement priorities. b. Distribute Soldiers to subordinate units. c. Publish orders. d. Track non-deployables at brigade-level. e. Monitor PRM of subordinate units. f. Prepare Personnel Requirements Report (PRR). 3. Submit Request for Fill based on the PRR. 4. Update PRR. 5. Update Running/Personnel Estimate. 6. Update commander. (Asterisks indicates a leader performance step.) Evaluation Guidance: Score the Soldier GO if all performance measures are passed (P). Score the Soldier NO GO if any performance measure is failed (F). If the Soldier fails any performance measure, show what was done wrong and how to perform it correctly. Evaluation Preparation: This task can be evaluated by use of the performance measures as listed. This method of evaluation is appropriate if the Soldier performs the task on the job. Allow the Soldier to practice until the Soldier feels qualified and prepared for the evaluation. Then have the Soldier perform the task, using the materials listed in the CONDITIONS statement above.
