Notes for Applicants Decisions on Research and Innovation Grant applications and awards are made by the Trustees of the FMANZ Foundation. Decisions are made entirely at the discretion of the FMANZ Foundation. Once a decision has been made, no further discussion or correspondence will be entered into, but this does not prevent an applicant from making a further application at a later date. Who is eligible to apply? Organisations or individuals who: a. Require funding to complete research that will benefit the FM industry in New Zealand; or b. Wish to use the funding to support a specific project that will bring innovation into the New Zealand FM industry to the benefit of the industry. Research and Innovation Grants will generally NOT be given for the following: a. Projects which are already complete b. Projects which will not benefit the New Zealand FM industry c. Projects of a non-specific nature d. Projects where the funding would be redistributed to another person or organisation e. Projects that conflict with the objects of the FMANZ Foundation s Trust Deed 4
Research and Innovation Grants Rounds The FMANZ Foundation Trustees meet twice a year to consider grant applications, at the end of April and September. Research and Innovation Grant applications are to be lodged on or before 3 April and 4 September. Upon receipt, all applications will be acknowledged, outlining the timing and process for consideration of the applications. Research and Innovation Grants will be awarded at the FM Summit and at the FMANZ Annual General Meeting in October. Research and Innovation Grant recipients may be requested to attend these events to receive their grants. Accountability All successful applicants will be required to provide detailed evidence in the form of project outputs and / or invoices to show that grant monies were allocated towards the approved project at agreed milestones. At the discretion of the Trustees any funds not spent for the approved purpose must be returned. GST Funding provided by the FMANZ Foundation is made as an unconditional gift or donation. No part of it is claimed by the FMANZ Foundation as a deduction against GST paid. If you or your organisation is registered for GST, only the GST exclusive amount can be funded.
