SCHOLARSHIP Attn: Senior Branches: Please read the new manual and pass on to your scholarship committee. Attn: Student Branches: Here is the information you need. Read it carefully and follow directions! Let's have lots of applications, send to your sponsoring branch president. Here is the Scholarship Manual with applications, criteria for evaluation, and all other pertinent information. These are the ONLY forms that will be accepted. Please discard old scholarship applications and the old transmittal forms. Set your own deadline after Feb 1, if you wish, but you need to send the evaluated applications to me by March 1. They will not be accepted at the conference. If you wish to give special consideration to an application (i.e. - child of IFSEA members, active student member) be sure to make it very clear in your documentation. We can't consider what we aren't aware of. Attn: Senior Branches - Critical: We are changing the process of evaluating scholarships at conference, so we need your help. Each region will pick the "winners" from another region. They will only have to evaluate 20-25 applications instead of 80-100. So it should only take a couple of hours instead of all day. You need to find one person from your branch that is planning to attend the conference to serve on the committee. We will always have a meeting on Thursday afternoon at the conference, to set the ground rules and then split up into regions. We want to present the scholarships at the Saturday luncheon. Please don't let the students down, find a volunteer. Questions? Please contact the International Scholarship Chairperson. Contact information on the Web (www.ifsea.com/contacts.htm) under Committee Chairs.
