Government of India has included KMC as a core intervention for the care of Low Birth Weight Infants and has initiated KMC promotion in the country. KMC promotion has started all over the country but till we have to improve alot. The impact will be appreciated only when KMC is practiced very widely and with proper quality. With the noble objective of the promotion of KMC in India, Kangaroo Mother Care Foundation (KMCF), a non- profit voluntary service organization, jointly with Lucknow Neonatology Foundation, has decided to organize this conference at Lucknow. This effort is part of multiple other activities of KMCF to accelerate KMC including breast milk feeding and regular follow up and other relevant aspects of newborn care in the country by *Increasing awareness, *conducting a large number of training courses, *improving the quality of KMC practice and *promoting research studies relevant to our needs. Because of time constraint, only six papers will be selected for oral presentation. Remaining papers will be selected for the poster presentations. The decisions by the selection committee will be final. Doctors and nurses and KMC champions from other groups can also submit papers for the conference. An abstract (typed or written only on one side of the paper) of the paper not exceeding 300 words should be sent to KMC Foundation office at Karamsad by post or E-Mail(MS Word PDF format) to reach before 20th April 2018 The selection of papers will be informed by 27th April 2018 by e mail and will be also put on the website of Kangaroo Mother Care Foundation.
