Scholarship Program Promoting the Values of our Community The CU School of Medicine Scholarship Program exists to honor students with outstanding promise and to help students pay for medical school. There are a number of programs to help meet the needs of the medical students, including various general and specific scholarships. Scholarships form the basis for declaring to our community the values, characteristics, and ideals that we want in our medical students and graduating physicians. Scholarships will be used to recruit and reward students who exemplify these values and characteristics. By accepting a scholarship, recipients agree to provide a brief biosketch and photograph. This information may be used to promote and publicize our scholarship programs to other students as well as the general public. Distinguished Scholars will act as student ambassadors to the community; talking with community and student groups and serving as representatives of the University. All Scholarships consider financial need in final awards.
