ABOUT STARS CLUB STUDENT-ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT WHAT IS STARS CLUB? STARS Club is the backbone of fundraising for UIS Athletics. Donors have an opportunity to help talented UIS student-athletes receive a quality education and contribute to the growth of the athletic department. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? STARS Club offers fans and supporters an opportunity to belong to a group of like-minded donors and to be identified as someone who invests in the lives of student-athletes and Prairie Stars Athletics. STARS Club also allows UIS Athletics to recognize and honor a special group of donors with exclusive opportunities and benefits. Through STARS Club, we are able to make it absolutely clear how to receive the most exclusive benefits and let donors choose what level of benefits they want to receive. HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED WITH THE STARS CLUB? Attending athletic events, supporting scholarships and providing funds for capital improvements are just the starting points for how you can impact our student-athletes. These young men and women have put in the time and effort to excel in the classroom and in their competitive venues. They also invest their time and effort heavily in the community. They greatly value your encouragement and participation, and we hope you continue to be a part of their lives. It is an honor to wear the UIS polo and represent the program at any event I attend. I could not have the access to resources to improve myself both on the course and in the classroom without the athletics scholarships provided to me. The donors to the UIS Athletics program have led to our current success and will help us continue to achieve success on the national level. To wear a UIS uniform on game day or in practice or just a UIS t-shirt any day means I get a new day to show people that UIS is improving and that we will be something to fear in the next few seasons. Thank you so much to UIS donors for the impact they have. We appreciate your generosity so much.
