Food Safety Training The Benson Mills Group provides Food Safety training for both management and hourly employees. Our food safety training classes are taught by certified food safety instructors who have more than 15 years of combined training experience. Additionally, our food safety certification exams are administered by registered exam proctors. The Benson Mills Group s training program is designed to equip foodservice managers and hourly employees with the techniques and know-how to implement proper food handling methods in their facilities. Our Unique Approach and Key to Success Before Class Materials are distributed to participants prior to the class date to allow time for pre-class preparation and study. Upon registration students are immediately assigned an instructor. Students have access to their assigned instructor before their training date; allowing them the opportunity to receive explanation or clarification in any area in which they may be experiencing difficulty during the studying process. The Day of Class The entire study manual is reviewed. The Benson Mills Group recognizes that students learn differently and avoids using a cookie cutter approach to instruction. This is accomplished by utilizing varying interactive and hands-on training methods that are designed to fully engage the student. Professional Outreach Ms. Sheila Kopp, RN, BSN Director of Clinical Operations for Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic There is a span of five years in between certifications for some training programs. Sometimes the likelihood of reengaging with the study manual after certification is slim. We designed our professional outreach program to keep food service professionals engaged with food safety in a learning environment. We bring in local subject matter experts to talk with food service professionals on topics surrounding food safety. Attorney William H.
