The ( Authority ) is committed to upholding high safety standards in the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). (SSBCD) of the Authority is organizing a safety campaign Prevention of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) for the Authority contractors, franchisees, licensees and business partners to raise safety awareness of their staff members and advocate management engagement on FOD prevention. 2. Safety Quiz Submission Method: A quiz containing 10 multiple choice questions will be given to the participants after Safety Talk. Interested parties please complete and return the quiz by hand after the Talk, or by e-mail to safety@hkairport.com on or before 6 July 2018 (Friday). Prizes and Collection Arrangement: 100 quiz winners will be randomly drawn from all correct entries submitted. Winners will be notified individually. Each winner will receive a prize. Winners who cannot collect the prize in person or by the company representative within four weeks of the results announcement shall be deemed to have waived their rights to the prize. 3. 4. FOD Prevention Proposal Competition Theme: Propose a practicable initiative on FOD prevention in HKIA. The proposal can be of any approach including but not limited to elimination, substitution, engineering control, administrative control, etc. Eligibility: Staff members of the Authority contractors, franchisees, licensees and business partners. Either individual or group participants are welcome. Participants are allowed to submit multiple entries. If necessary, the Authority may request the participant to provide proof of employment. Entry Method: Participants must submit the proposal by e-mail to safety@hkairport.com (maximum file size supported: 8 MB) on or before 15 June 2018 (Friday). Late submission(s) will not be accepted. Entries must be in MS Word or MS PowerPoint format and include personal particulars of the individual participants and their company safety representative, specifying, for each individual, his/her the name, company name, phone number & email address. Personal Information Collection Statement: o Personal data collected in this Competition will be used by the Authority for the following purposes ( Purposes ): (i) Communication with participants; (ii) Advertisement of the Competition in the Authority s publications or social media channels; and (iii) Any other purposes directly related to purposes (i) and (ii) above. o If a participant do not provide sufficient personal data, the Authority may not accept his/her/its entry. o The Authority will not transfer personal data submitted to any third party. o All personal data submitted with the entries will be stored for limited durations only relevant to the Purposes, and thereafter will be destroyed. o Participants have a right to request access of or correction to their personal data held by the Authority. Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged based on the following criteria: Scope, Objectives and Description Benefits and Challenges Resources Implementation and sustainable improvement References (analytic report, article, visual image, etc) (bonus marks will be awarded to the entry included management involvement) Judging Panel: Prizes and Collection Arrangement: Judging panel is formed by SSBCD of the Authority and company safety representatives of participants. Only one safety representative from each company will be invited to the judging panel irrespective of the number of entries submitted by participant(s) of the same company. The company safety representative will be notified for the judging panel arrangement individually. Any safety representative who does not attend the judging panel meeting shall be deemed to have waived his/ her rights to be a member of the judging panel. By entering the "FOD Prevention Proposal Competition" ("Competition"), each participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. Violation of any of these terms and conditions may result in disqualification of the participant. 2. Each participant represents and warrants that he/she/it is eligible to enter into the Competition. 3. All participants shall provide true and correct information as required. Providing incomplete or false information may lead to disqualification of the participant. 4. The Authority reserves the right to examine all entries in order to confirm their compliance with these terms and conditions. Contents of Entries 5. Entries to the Competition must not contain content that is illegal, indecent, disturbing, provocative, offensive, intrusive, defamatory, or discriminatory in terms of or by reference to race, religion, gender or age. 6. The participant must warrant that each proposal he/she/it submits is his/her/its own work. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that any proposal he/she/it submitted does not infringe the right of any third party or any laws. Authority s Rights 7. By entering the Competition, each participant grants to the Authority and its authorised persons a fully paid-up, royalty free, perpetual, non-exclusive and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, modify, publish and otherwise make use of each of the submitted proposals for any purposes (including without limitation, the adoption or exploitation of any concepts or ideas expressed in the proposals), without making the Authority liable for compensation of any kind and without any notice or reference to the participant. No Liability 8. The Authority shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the participants as a result of any delay, failure, interruption, breakdown, viruses, malfunctions, errors, defects or defaults in the transmission of any entries. 9. Each participant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless the Authority and its affiliates, subsidiaries, contractors and agents from any claim, loss and/or damage arising out of or in connection with his/her/its participation in this Competition. General Matters 10. All prizes are non-exchangeable and non-transferrable. 11. In case of any dispute, the Authority reserves the right to make the final decision which shall be final and binding. 12. The Authority reserves the right to change these terms and conditions, prizes and arrangements without prior notice. The Authority reserves the right to cancel or terminate the Competition. 13. The Competition shall be subject to and governed by the laws of Hong Kong. 14.
