Exam ordering deadlines Three key deadlines for ordering 2020 exams. Deadline Preferred Deadline October 2019 Final Deadline November 2019 Spring Course Orders and Fall Order Changes Deadline March 2020 Description Recommended deadline to submit May 2020 exam orders. Deadline to submit exam orders for all full-year and firstsemester AP courses. Each exam ordered after this deadline will incur an additional late order fee of $40 per exam Each exam canceled after this deadline will incur a cancellation fee of $40 per exam. The original exam fee will be removed from the invoice. Deadline to order exams for second-semester courses and to update the exam order with any late orders or canceled exams. The full exam fee will be billed for all AP exams that are part of a school s exam order as of this deadline, less any applicable College Board fee reduction. Alternate exams taken on late-testing dates can be ordered after this deadline if needed. A $40 per exam late-testing fee may apply in specific circumstances.
Fall Registration Why is exam registration moving to the fall? At more than half of all schools offering AP, students decide in the fall whether they are taking the AP Exam. At these schools: educators report that students are more engaged in their AP classes. students are more likely to take the exam and earn scores of 3 or higher. PSAT/NMSQT Score Release Educator Score Release: Educators will be able to access their students PSAT/NMSQT scores in the K 12 score reporting portal starting on Dec. 3 a week before students start receiving their scores. Virtual Advising We launched a new pilot program that will connect students with an extra layer of support that can help them on their journey to college. In May 2018, students in the class of 2019 started to receive invitations to participate in a pilot initiative. Over 20,000 students in the class of 2019 will have the opportunity to receive virtual advising via our partnerships with CollegePoint and College Advising Corps. Students are connected with virtual advisers who can help them navigate the college application and financial aid processes; the advisers are available by phone, email, chat, and text messaging.
