Project Review and Coordination Regional Clearinghouse Review The attached report summarizes the project notifications received from various governmental and nongovernmental agencies seeking federal assistance or permits for the period beginning March 1, 2009 and ending March 31, 2009. The staff of the Southwest Florida Regional Planning reviews various proposals, Notifications of Intent, Preapplications, permit applications, and Environmental Impact Statements for compliance with regional goals, objectives, and policies of the Regional Comprehensive Policy Plan. The staff reviews such items in accordance with the Florida Intergovernmental Coordination and Review Process (Chapter 29I-5, F.A.C.) and adopted regional clearinghouse procedures. staff reviews projects under the following four designations: Less Than Regionally Significant - no further review of the project can be expected from. Less Than Regionally Significant and Inconsistent - does not find the project to be of regional importance, but notes certain concerns as part of its continued monitoring for cumulative impacts within the noted goal areas. Regionally Significant - Project is of regional importance and appears to be consistent with Regional goals, objectives and policies. Regionally Significant and Inconsistent - Project is of regional importance and appears not to be consistent with Regional goals, objectives, and policies. will oppose the project as submitted, but is willing to participate in any efforts to modify the project to mitigate the concerns. The report includes the SWFRPC number, the applicant name, project description, location, funding or permitting agency, and the amount of federal funding, when applicable. It also includes the comments provided by staff to the applicant and to the State Clearinghouse (Office of Planning and Budgeting) in Tallahassee. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approval of the administrative action on Clearinghouse Review items. 04/2009
