Wil.liam Brem Morrison, Assistant Inspector General for Inspections and Evaluations, Office of the Deputy Inspector General for Policy and Oversight, Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense (OIG DoD), hosted the DCIE I&E Roundtable on November 29,2007. 2. Mr. Morrison is the Chairperson of the DCIE I&E Roundtable. The purpose of the Roundtable is to provide a forum for Defense Department Inspectors General to communicate, coordinate, and collaborate on topics of mutual interest related to inspections and evaluations. The goals of the Roundtable are to exchange information, share best practices, and prevent duplication of effort among the Defense Department IGs. 3. See attachment #1 for the attendance roster. Representatives of the DIGs from the Joint Staff, COCOMs, Services, and several Defense Agencies attended or called in. 4. Mr. Morrison opened the meeting with welcoming remarks and encouraged RT members to submit agenda topics and presentations for future meeting. He requested feedback on the usefulness of today's presentations. All attendees then introduced themselves and provided opening remarks. 5. (FOUO~ Agenda: See attachment #2. Briefing slides are at the DCIE IE Roundtable website: (http://www.dodig.mil/lnspections/ieidciei&eroundtable.htm) The first presentation covered the DoD IG Southwest Asia, LTC Valerie Jackson, DoD IG I&E Joint Operation, Defense Agencies, and Service IGs Division, provided a briefing on the evaluation of the Section 1206 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NOAA) 2006. POR OFMClkL USE 61(LY Mr Larry Brom, Office of the Dean of Instruction, DoD IG, provided a briefing on the Combatant Command Joint IG Course (CCJIGC). The briefing was in response to a request from a Roundtable member to discuss COCOM IG doctrine. o The briefing covered the following aspects of the course (not all inclusive): Current status: 6 courses completed, 150 attendees, 2 courses slated for 2008 Estimated date for the first class with the new curriculum is August 2009 o Discussion of briefing: DoD IG 2 b(5)
