ARRA EECBG Small City & County Awards $6.7M Last updated: February 2012 Commerce Contact: Patti Miller-Crowley (360) 725-3122 or patti.miller-crowley@commerce.wa.gov Commerce received 83 requests for a total of $11.5 million in energy efficiency and conservation block grant requests. In November 2009, Commerce awarded grant funds to 43 applicants. Projects include energy audits, building retrofits, energy efficient traffic signals and street lighting. One project withdrew in January 2011 and another in May 2011. Some awardees have returned unspent grant funds. A portion of those funds were awarded to three new grantees next in line based on original scoring. Any remaining funds will be reallocated to existing projects.
