Congratulations to Mrs. Kiser for having her PBIS presentation accepted for the PBIS Showcase, to be held in Columbus this November! The ZMS Staff Thanks to the ZHS teachers and staff for a wonderful Grandparents & Grandfriends Day! Special thanks to our cafeteria and custodial staffs, who do so much to create a welcoming environment. Kasey Jones Thanks to the Guidance Department (Colby, Betty, and WillaMarie) for organizing a great testing day Wednesday at ZHS. Thanks to all the teachers for proctoring, and for being flexible to give kids future opportunities. Thanks to the custodial staff for getting furniture moved around to meet seating requirements. And thanks to our cooks for being flexible with the lunch schedule to assure everyone got a lunch. We appreciate everyone s efforts! Laura, Chad & Nate Thank you to Mr. Seekatz for making sure classrooms were set up for testing, that attendance was recorded, and that lunches ran smoothly during our testing day on Wednesday! ZHS Guidance Department Thank you to the ZHS staff for putting all hands on deck to help our testing day go smoothly on Wednesday! ZHS Guidance Department Shout-out to the ZMS Staff Member of the Month for September, Mr. Baldwin! He always goes above and beyond the call of duty. He has coached and helped out with multiple sports over the years. He organizes our lunchtime intramurals, and has chaperoned many Washington, D.C., trips. He is always willing to help out his peers, always has a positive attitude, and puts others before himself. Mr. Tim Norris & the ZMS Staff Shout-out to Mrs. Hoffer and the Student Council for all your hard work. The countless hours spent baking special treats for our students, and also organizing fundraisers for charity, teaches our students the value of giving back. Dr. Dalton & Mrs. Kiser Congratulations to Diana Kiser, Chad Grandstaff, Allison Burkhart, and Chad Kiser for being selected to present at the 2018 Ohio PBIS Showcase in Columbus. Michelle Jordan & Steve Foreman

STAFF OF THE MONTH AWARD Fire safety at JME Zanesville Middle School ***** ERIC BALDWIN Phys. Ed. Congratulations to ZMS teachers who had perfect attendance for the month of September. Also, congratulations to Mrs. Rudloff for winning the gift card drawing! The ZHS volleyball program recently collected 88 pounds of food and $200 in cash with their Spike Out Hunger event, then donated all of it on this trip to Eastside Community Ministry. Domino s Pizza also helped sponsor the team s efforts to help out Eastside. The Zanesville Fire Department visited the John McIntire Elementary preschoolers. The students learned how to crawl low to get out of a fire. They learned their family should have an outside meeting place in case of a fire. They learned that 9-1-1 is the number to call and it is only for an emergency. The firefighters dressed in their gear to show that they are friendly and not to be afraid of them if they have to rescue them. The children learned to call out if they are in a fire so that the firemen can find them, and when they do, give them a big hug.
