STAFF OF THE MONTH AWARD Fire safety at JME Zanesville Middle School ***** ERIC BALDWIN Phys. Ed. Congratulations to ZMS teachers who had perfect attendance for the month of September. Also, congratulations to Mrs. Rudloff for winning the gift card drawing! The ZHS volleyball program recently collected 88 pounds of food and $200 in cash with their Spike Out Hunger event, then donated all of it on this trip to Eastside Community Ministry. Domino s Pizza also helped sponsor the team s efforts to help out Eastside. The Zanesville Fire Department visited the John McIntire Elementary preschoolers. The students learned how to crawl low to get out of a fire. They learned their family should have an outside meeting place in case of a fire. They learned that 9-1-1 is the number to call and it is only for an emergency. The firefighters dressed in their gear to show that they are friendly and not to be afraid of them if they have to rescue them. The children learned to call out if they are in a fire so that the firemen can find them, and when they do, give them a big hug.
