Today, Hometown Community Foundation is one of more than 700 community foundations in the United States, collectively managing more than $48 billion in assets and making grants of approximately $4.5 billion a year to improve life in their communities. In 2014 endowed funds granted $200K to causes or organizations supporting literacy, hunger, scholarships, youth, art and other areas of shared concern. Partnered with local nonprofit organizations to build capacity and grow programs including summer camp at the YMCA, a large art project at BETA, 4H horse show equipment and communication equipment for our county s reserve deputies. Awarded over $35K in scholarships to our Brown County High School graduates plus another Lilly Endowment full four year scholarship to Issac Glusenkamp to attend Butler University.
