Links to Learning Grant Application Assistance League of Minneapolis /St. Paul Our Mission: Assistance League of Minneapolis/St. Paul is a nonprofit organization whose volunteers feed and clothe children, enhance and enrich education, and support and serve our community. Our Vision: Essential needs of children and adults are met in our communities Classroom grants are intended to fund innovation, helping educators to launch something new. You may apply for up to $750 / project that will be implemented during the 2018-19 school year. Classroom teachers, guidance counselors and others who require a license to carry out their work with students enrolled in Pre-k through 12 th grade in the Minneapolis Public Schools are eligible to apply. Application Deadline: Monday, October 8, 2018 Grants awarded: Monday, November 19, 2018 Grant financial report due by: Friday, April 12, 2019 Preference is given to innovative projects that improve student achievement/self-esteem, encourage parent/community involvement, and improve curriculum. Other factors considered are: the number of students served, the free and reduced-price lunch statistic of the school, and if the program could be replicated for future students. Before filling in application information, divide downloaded application into three parts: Cover Page, Application Narrative, Grant Budget. Save each as a Word Document. A complete application will contain three parts: 1. Signed Cover Page (scanned into a PDF) 2. Application Narrative (saved as a PDF) 3. When listing your expenses, please include sales tax as funds will be issued directly to the recipient and the district tax exemption cannot be used. Round expenses to the nearest whole dollar (i.e. $721.49 to $722.00). Payment for services to a consultant (s) (such as an artist) may total no more than $599.
