Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur from 27 th to 31 st December 2007. The is partly supported by the Association of Indian Universities;, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur and others. Raipur is the capital of Chhattisgarh which represents the administrative, educational, business and industrial seat of the State. In its immediate neighborhood lies, Bhilai, the steel city of India, where the largest steel plant of Asia is located. In the south of Raipur is the tribal heart of India, especially the Bastar, where the tribal culture and art are still preserved in original form along with the natural setting in deep and thick woods. Bastar is also famous for its numerous waterfalls and subterranean lime stone caves, besides the lush green Sal forest. In December the climate of Raipur (Max. Temp. 24-27 o C; Min. Temp. 10-15 o C) is quite pleasant. Normal winter clothing and other outfit will suffice. Raipur is located about 300 Kms from Nagpur in the East on the Mumbai-Kolkata trunk line. It is well connected by Air, Rail and Road.

The participating teams will be received at the Raipur Railway Station from the morning of 26 th December 2007 till the afternoon of 27th December 2007. The University campus is about 4-5 kilometers from railway station. The function will start on 27 th December 2007 at 12.00 p.m. followed by Inauguration; the valedictory function will be over by 1.30 p.m. on 31 st December 2008. Therefore, you are requested to make your travel plan accordingly. It is advisable to have one lady team manager, in case there are female participants. IDENTITY CARDS/AGE OF PARTICIPANTS *The students must carry their identity cards. The team managers should submit valid identity cards of the participants for verification at the time of registration. * The age of the participant should not be more than 25 year as on 1 st July 2007. REGISTRATION FEE * Each participant including accompanists and team officials will be required to deposit registration fee of Rs. 150/- (non-refundable) to the organizing University. CAUTION MONEY * A sum of Rs. 1000/- refundable caution money has to be deposited by each team at the time of registration. The cost of any loss of any loss of stores / damage to the property can be deducted out of it. ACCOMODATION * Free boarding and lodging will be provided to all the participants. However, as it is winter, participants are advised to bring blankets and beddings.
