Something she was not accustomed to not doing before she went to CYS Leadership Camp 2014-15 Family Survey My 14 year old teenager enjoys making new friends, team building, and learning about the MRT for youth. 2014-15 Family Survey Relationship and Team Building activities for the HING Youth, Exposure of youth to situations and experiences that would not otherwise be experienced with in their own families, increase understanding that there is a greater purpose in serving others then yourself 2014-15 Leadership Survey Building great character of the children participated. Developing their confidence and self-worth thru well designed activities and events. 2014-15 Leadership Survey

STEM-tastic Robotics Events with Operation Military Kids and CYSS Army Reserve Operation Military Kids (OMK), CYS and CYSS (Army Reserve) hosted its final collaborated STEM-tastic workshop which focused on Robotics. Participants assembled VEX Robots in 6 hours. And faced them off in a battle royale. Active Duty Soldiers from Schofield Barracks EOD Squad let the participants handle working robots and explained the importance of those robots in the field. 30 children ages 9-12 attended the event, held in February 2015 at 103rd Troop Command. Hawaii National Guard Teen Summit and MRT Training CYS Hawaii Conducted its first Teen Summit which focused on the New Master Resiliency Training for Teens. 15 participants par took in this one week event at Camp Mokuliea on the North Side of Oahu. Mornings where dedicated to the training with interactive class work. Teens were receptacle to the training and learned new skills such as Goal Setting for College and careers. And how to Put It In Prospective (PIIP). Teens shared that they now have a better understanding on how to view their problems that they face as not only teens, but as a military child. But it wasn't all work for these teens, the nights where filled with fun teambuilding games and entertainment.

Hawaii National and State Partners The Hawaii National Guard Youth Program together with a robust community of adults, volunteers, schools, military and private organizations, have created a sustainable statewide support network. In collaboration with these community partners the Hawaii National Guard Youth Program has not only been able to exceed it s program expectations, but has expanded it s reach to those children and youth that live in the remote areas on the neighbor islands. Together, with these partners, we are able to provide resources to youths on Maui, Kauai, Molokai, and the Big Island Operation Military Kids Building Community Capacity Department of Education State of Hawaii Educate and empower the teachers, counselors and school administrators about the Hawaii National Guard-our mission, vision and programs that are offered though out the State, and how they play an active role in the development and care the National Guard Youth. OMK has been a tremendous resource since its creation and will be missed.
