Culture Culture involves the beliefs, social practices, and characteristics of racial, ethnic, religious, or social groups. Among these social groups are sexual minorities the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) population and linguistic minorities, including both people with limited English proficiency (LEP) and the hearing impaired. 7
