Objectives & Plan Keep tracing the trend of current engineering industry and provide suitable activities and trainings to enrich the knowledge of our members. Work closely with other professional institutions & education institutes to enlarge members exposure. Build up a strong network locally and globally among existing members, the society and the Headquarter. Encourage young people to enter mechanical engineering profession, help to develop them to contribute to the society. Develop& support the Student Section by assisting them in organizing different activities to enhance their independency& team work abilities 5
Engineering Week 2011(EW2011) Idea was conceived in Sept 2009 and decided toproceedinapril2010 6
EW2011(5 th March 13 th March) - Joint Organizers contributed HK$ 170K as the seeding fund and managed to raise over HK$1.1 millions sponsorships and donations - 5K volunteer hours to manage the programme - over 4K students, professionals and general public to attend EW2011 events Joint Organizers organizers 7
