Somerset County Overall Outstanding 4-H Member Award and Scholarship Award Application Check at least one (you may apply for both): Outstanding 4-H Member Award (must be a high school graduate) 4-H Scholarship Award Program (Must meet the requirements as listed below) I am applying for: (check all that apply) Somerset County 4-H Scholarships Dairy Scholarship Beef Scholarship Horse Scholarship Scholarship Award Program Guidelines Eligibility Applicants: o Must have been a member of a Somerset County 4-H club and completed at least one 4-H project each o o year during their last three years INCLUDING the year they graduated from high school. Must have graduated from high school and have been accepted for admission at an approved institution of advanced education or vocational training leading to a certificate of graduation. Members may apply for up to one year after they graduate from high school, as long as the other requirements are met. Selection Completed applications must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on September 1. Applications consist of the completed scholarship award application, 4-H story and one letter of recommendation from a 4-H leader. The applications will go to the Awards Committee who will review them and make recommendations to the Somerset County 4-H Development Fund, Inc. Prior to submitting an application to the Extension Office, applicants need to give their application to their key leader. The key leader will be asked to review and sign off approving the application for review by the Awards Committee. Amount Amount and number of awards will be determined by the Somerset County 4-H Development Fund, Inc. No individual will receive scholarship awards for more than one year. If a donor, other than the Development Fund, has an award being handled by this program, the entire amount specified by the donor will be given in awards. Presentation The award(s) will be presented at the Annual 4-H Recognition Banquet.
